CarInspector.io is a nationwide vehicle inspection service aimed at used car buyers, providing on-site pre-purchase inspections, detailed reports (200+ point checks with photos), VIN-based vehicle history data, and expert guidance through a network of independent, certified mechanics. The mission, in the founder's own words, is to bring transparency and trust to the used car market. The company is a graduate of the Startup Texas Accelerator's Emerging Industries cohort, a program run by the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation (BCIC) in partnership with UTRGV's Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center (ECC), and received a $7,270 reimbursement grant from BCIC's Startup Texas Advancement Fund in mid-2025.
Founder Rodrigo Burberg established Auto Inspector LLC in April 2025. According to a professional networking profile, his prior work experience spans law practice, facilities services, and oil & energy industries, including past roles as a project manager, a mechanical engineering patent examiner, a patent agent, and an HVAC test-and-balance technician — a varied background before founding this vehicle-inspection venture. As of his May 2025 Advancement Fund application, he was the company's sole employee, working to build out a nationwide network of independent contractor mechanics to perform inspections, alongside plans to bring on a customer service representative and a marketing team member.
